Maximise returns from your solar or wind park
Smart control is the game changer
Many owners of solar or wind parks see their income fall. Negative power prices and lower SDE subsidies put pressure on returns. With an energy contract and the smart optimization of Eddy Grid you unlock more value from your park.
Why solar and wind parks need active control
As the owner of a solar or wind park you have two main ways to sell your power:
- Cover imbalance – you deliver every kilowatt hour at the weighted Day Ahead price. That feels safe, yet these hourly prices dive below zero more and more often when sun or wind is abundant.
- Smart bidding – your energy supplier picks the best market each hour or even each quarter. Which strategy earns most is never known in advance, so you want a supplier who watches your specific asset and switches approach the moment another strategy outperforms.
Eddy Grid gives your park an asset specific strategy. We watch the Day Ahead, Intraday and Ex Post markets every minute, move production between markets and adjust instantly so negative prices do not hurt you. The goal is to sell on the right market at the right moment and, whenever possible, turn imbalance into profit instead of cost.
When do we adjust output
The point at which we temporarily curtail production differs per park. We always consider:
- the SDE phase amount you receive
- the provisional correction amount from RVO
- the anticipated GVO price
- the fee per megawatt hour charged by your energy supplier
Only when the expected market price drops below this total do we curtail. This way not a single kilowatt hour that could still earn money is lost.

Since January 2025 Eddy Grid has controlled the 28 MWp Branderwal solar park, proving that large parks also benefit from our asset specific approach. Our software keeps comparing bidding strategies, adjusts at lightning speed and curtails only when that is financially wiser.
“Eddy Grid offers the right solution with their driven and data oriented approach to earn as much as possible with our park and helps keep the grid in balance,” says owner Brand‑Jan van den Bosch.
